MANCHESTER United star Juan Sebastian Veron has pleaded with his club to let him stay at Old Trafford following hints that he may on his way to Chelsea.

The Argentinian midfielder has been subject of speculation recently that he is a summer target of mega-rich Chelsea but the player wants to remain a Red Devil.

"It has never been my intention to leave Manchester United," he said.

"I want to stay and I have made my intentions clear, but I do not know what the club want to do."
