PREMIERSHIP clubs are now allowed to loan players from other teams in the top flight thanks to the FA changing the rules. Everton fans are clearly delighted with the changes as Arsenal's Francis Jeffers has today rejoined his old club on a season-long loan deal.

Jeffers moved to Highbury in July 2001 in an £8 million deal but has struggled to hold down a regular starting place in the squad.

With only hours left before the tranfer window closes Everton moved to sign former England goalkeeper Nigel Martyn from Leeds for a nominal fee.
