KEVIN KEEGAN has come to the defense of under fire goalkeeper David Seaman by insisting that Manchester City are safe in the hands of the veteran shotstopper.

The former England goalkeeper has come under fire for his poor performances so far this season. Fans say that he is solely responsible for six of the goals Manchester City have conceded so far.

Man City manager Kevin Keegan though has leapt to the defense of the former Arsenal goalkeeper and says he has no intention of dropping him.

"David has two Frenchmen, a German and a Chinaman in front of him, so communication is bound to be a problem," said Keegan.

"The relationship between a keeper and his back four is vital and that understanding doesn't happen overnight.>BR?>BR? "The best time to judge him and all the new players will be around Christmas when they have played 20 games together.''
