SVEN-GORAN Eriksson's assistant Tord Grip has revealed that they are watching Glasgow Celtic midfielder Alan Thompson and he is very much in teh thoughts of the England setup.
Celtic manager Martin O'Neill recently added his voice to the many who are calling on Sven to give Thompson and his teammate Chris Sutton a chance and Tord Grip responded by hinting that he may be given a chance after the Euro 2004 clash in Turkey.
"I was in Munich for Celtic's last game and saw the Lyon match on television. Both players were excellent, especially Thompson," Tord Grip told the Daily Record.
"We know about him and I think we will watch him after the match with Turkey. Nothing will happen before then because all we are thinking about is winning that match."
