A court date has been set for the case of Liverpool Football Club versus Middlesborough Football club. Ziege is also suing Boro over their handling of the transfer.
A date has been set for the court case over the
transfer of Christian Ziege from Middlesbrough to Liverpool three years ago.
Boro are claiming that the Reds 'tapped-up' the player and are demanding up to
£7million in damages. In May 2002 a High Court Judge ruled that they had no
realistic prospect of success and threw out the claim. Boro later appealed and
their claim was reinstated.
At a preliminary hearing this morning Judge Peter Clark said that 10 days
commencing 22nd March had now been set aside for the case.
