"Graham needs to take some sessions at a club, so we thought it would be a good idea to bring him up here," said Dundee manager Jim Duffy.

"He's not being paid and he's staying with me so it's costing nothing and we're able to help each other out."

"Graham is a friend and he is going to come here for a few weeks and help out with some coaching," Duffy added.

"I know him well and trust him implicitly, so I'm hoping he'll notice something in our training and games that I've missed and that we'll be able to improve the team as a result.

"He's a top class coach, so the players will benefit from working with him.

"I'm amazed that he's not involved in the game at the moment because when you look at his CV and compare it to some of the people who are in work there really is no comparison.

"He's played at the highest level, coached for the likes of Ruud Gullit, Gianluca Vialli and Glen Hoddle at Chelsea and was a successful manager in his own right at Portsmouth."
