Three ex-managers of Leeds United: David O'Leary, Terry Venables and Peter Reid have put the Leeds Uniteds players to shame by accepting that the club needs to put their compensation on hold.
Ex-Leeds United managers Peter Reid, Terry Venables and David O'Leary have agreed to help the club by haviung severance wages deffered for the time being.
Reid, who is supposedly waiting for £850,000, said:
"If Leeds United want to defer any payments then I am happy with that.
"As long as I would eventually get what I am owed then I don't have a
problem with it.''
And David O'Lear is having his payments put on hold too. His next installment is
due in March.
"There has been no formal approach as yet, although doubtless there will be
and if there is I am sure it will be looked upon favourably by David,'' said
Kennedy.
Terry Venebles wasn't in charge for long but he is receiving compensation too,
and that is now also on hold.
"You are supposed to be paid up straight away,'' said Venables.
"But they asked me whether I would accept payments over 12 months - which
is sort of a deferral anyway - and I said that I would. I have now nearly been
paid up.''
They are putting the Leeds United's players to shame.
