Julian ready for England - Bruce

Steve Bruce says Julian Gray’s display against Manchester United last weekend proved he is ready to solve Englands left sided problems.

The Birmingham boss also believes Gray, 25, signed from Crystal Palace in the summer, is the best athlete he has worked with. Bruce said: “I said before the season started Julian could just be the surprise package. “He’s got fantastic talent and is an unbelievable athlete. “There’s a dearth of players down the left-hand side in this country. “Left-back is not his best position but he performed there extremely well in the 0-0 with United.
