Benno Joins The Blades

33 Year old keeper Ian Bennett has joined Championship side Sheffield United on a one month loan. Bennett is yet to make a start for the Blues this season with Bruce prefering Maik Taylor and Nico Vaesen ahead of Benno.

Fan favourite Ian Bennett has joined Sheffield United on a one month loan deal. The long serving keeper will go straight into the blades side for their game against Rotherham on Saturday.

Benno will get the chance to impress in the Championship straight away as the blades regular number one Paddy Kelly is suspended for three games following his dismissal last weekend.

The move could give Benno the chance to get some match fitness in order to return to St Andrews and challenge Maik Taylor for the number one spot.
