Birmingham will have to win the next three games to have a realistic chance of survivng in the premiership for the 2005/2006 season.

Steve Bruce will face a hail of abuse if his team fails to secure any points against Sunderland, Middlesborough and West Bromich Albion who are all relegation candidates.

Sunderland , who got promotes last season from the championship have been truely awful this season and there position and points tally says it all , there 20th with only 10 points thats 16 points away from safety . they are all but doomed this season.

Middlesborough, who started this season brightly were expected to fight for a UEFA cup spot but this year have failed to impress, although recently beating chelsea 3-0 they currently lie 16th in the premiership 8 points and 2 places above Birmingham City.

West Bromich Albion , Last seasons "doomed at christmas" team who avoided relegation on the last day of the 2004/2005 season , are currently very inconsistent and have got to be favorites for relegation they currently lie 6 points ahead of Birmingham and 1 place above them in 18th place.
