Its Not All Over Just Yet

If you have had a look through the negative stories and opinions in the football papers, websites and message boards over the past few days you can be forgiven for thinking that Birmingham City have already been relegated.

The truth is that, although West Brom did get a good point at St Andrews on Saturday, we still have a game in hand and we are still only three points from safety. The biggest problem that the Blues face at the minute is maintaining the support of us, the fans.

Many fans are now calling for Bruce's head, and to be honest they have good reason to do so. Never have we had such a quality squad at St Andrews and yet we find ourselves third from bottom with just ten games to go. But at least we have ten games left.

Ok, so we have got to play Man Utd, Chelsea, Tottenham and a few other big clubs, but we can still stay up if we get a bit of luck. West Brom have got a very similar run in to Birmingham but we hold that all important game in hand against Bolton up our sleeves. A win against Bolton, or preferably against Spurs on Saturday and we're back in the race for survival.

It is important that we supporters do not just accept the fact we are getting relegated, we need to get out there, get behind the lads and really give it our all for these last ten games of the season. At least then if we do go down we can point the finger at Steve Bruce and the players and not our own poor performance's on the terraces.

We've all seen the Blues in a worse scenario than we're in now. Just remember the past relegations, the play-off defeats, the tuesday night away games against Grimsby or Crewe... how bad we're we back then? Yet we still managed to get behind the team and spur them on. And thats exactly what we need to do now. Let's roar the boys on to Premiership survival.
