"Those bids"

According to certain newspapers this morning Birmingham City have lined up a bid between £2,000,000 and £2,400,000 for Wigan Athletic striker Jason Roberts, who bagged 8 league goals for Wigan last season.

Jason Roberts has reportedly been told he can leave Wigan Athletic , even though he had a impressive first season in the premiership bagging 8 goals in 33 Premiership games and 6 goals in 5 (4) cup games helping wigan Athletic reach the League Cup final being defeated by Manchester United 4-1 . Reports suggest that Jason Roberts could be involved in a swap deal for Emile Heskey with the Blues having to add cash to the deal, although i personally cannot see Jason Roberts playing in the championship next season after such a fine first season , and he is almost certain to have Premiership clubs after him so why would he join Birmingham City? If Roberts was to join Jerome Cameron upfront next season, no doubt we would be a force to be reckoned with!
As when Roberts was in the championship he bagged 21 goals in 45 games helping Wigan Athletic to gain promotion in the 04/05 season, and Jerome bagged 18 league goals last season in 44 appearances.
