By RFU Press Release
June 29 2012
London Welsh’s appeal against the decision that the club failed to meet the Minimum Standards Criteria, set out by the Professional Game Board, for promotion to the Aviva Premiership has been upheld by an independent panel. Kath clearly doesn't like this. Check out her anti London Welsh views in the Falcons forum today. London Welsh a member of the RFU, of course.

Kath,
Should that be a reason to exclude them from admission to the Premiership, then? If it were a legitimiate concern, surely they should have been excluded from the Championship, not only raised as a concern once they have won the right to move up to the top table!
Also, am I wrong in thinking there are other teams in the AP at which your accusation could also be levelled?

I never said they should be excluded now did I?
I said they would offer nothing to the England game and you and I both know that is right.
They will struggle to get a team to live with the other premiership teams let alone start looking at building an acadamey and provide England players
come on Arquero don't put words in my mouth as I say I did not say to exclude them just they offer nothing -maybe to you 3points perhaps

Kath,
And you should practice what you preach about not putting words in another's mouth, since I don't know, nor have I said, whether they will add anything to the English game or not. If they have England qualified players who are deemed good enough to merit a place in the EPS, why would they not support it, and where is the proof that they won't?
You are clearly upset that London Welsh have taken your own Newcastle's place in the AP, but don't take that out on everybody who(edit) doesn't feel this is the wrong outcome. Get a grip of yourself!
Edited to add word as per (edit).

Arquero I stopped being a Falcons supporter at least 7-8 years ago could not stand the dross they played on the pitch
besides I only went to falcons really to see england players play from different clubs.
and errrr i never said you did say this below??? not sure what made you think I did?
maybe you should read my post above again - not sure why you feel the need to fight with me
I wished LW luck with their appeal if you go and search on their site - frankly it does not bother me at all.
I still feel they will not offer anything to the england team so we shall have to agree to differ
but let's be a bit cheery about it eh

Ah now I know what you are on about -apologies did not mean to infer you had said this - just implying that you might perhaps agree
but obviously you don't sorry
anyway enjoy your premiership season and I am sure you will enjoy your trip to Kasam
cheers Kath

Kath,
My point is not that I agree or disagree with you; it's that I don't know whether London Welsh will offer anything to the England game or not. People, yourself included, are saying this, but how do you know when it's uncharted territory?
Not really interestd in getting further involved in this discussion to be honest. The team that ultimately won the Championship has been promoted, and the system has been exposed for what it is.

arquero - to be honest I know I have said english game but really I mean feeding to the England team set up.
I just can't see it happening and really feel that LW will struggle in the prem a bit like Rotherham ?? can't remember if it was.
I still prefer straight up and down promotion not play offs - not even the play offs at the top of the prem to my mind it has always been silly.
so hopefully all this will change
or what fun and games this has caused eh
anyway hope you are well and back home not sunning yourself in Spain
