The Rugby Football Union (RFU) has today appointed Steve Brown as Chief Executive Officer.
The appointment concludes an extensive selection process led by a Board nominations panel which concluded on 31 August. The appointment received RFU Board approval this morning. Brown is currently Chief Officer, Business Operations at the RFU, and he succeeds Ian Ritchie who announced his retirement earlier this year.
Jack McIntosh, a former player at level six club Vale of Lune RUFC in Lancashire, has been banned from all sport for four years after subverting the doping control process following a test on 15 May 2015. Info., here

ENGLAND
England will play world champions New Zealand for the first time since 2014 as their fixtures for the 2018 Old Mutual Wealth Series are confirmed. Eddie Jones’ side will play four Test matches in next season’s series at Twickenham Stadium against South Africa (3 November), New Zealand (10 November), Japan (17 November) and Australia (24 November). England head coach Eddie Jones says he will continue his search for the right players after naming his 33-man training squad for the three-day camp in Oxford. More here

England Women beaten in WRWC Final 2017 The Red Roses were beaten 32-41 to New Zealand in the Women's Rugby World Cup final at the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast.
England Women’s fixtures for the Old Mutual Wealth Series have been confirmed, with the side playing three home games this November.
