Welcome Lloyd Owusu

Reading have completed the signing of Sheffield Wednesday striker Lloyd Owusu on a 1 month loan deal.Owusu is expected to go straight into the squad for the boxing day clash with Wimbledon

Steve Coppell as made his first loan signing at Reading today with the news that Lloyd Owusu has joined on a 1 month loan deal.The striker had been at Sheffield Wednesday but has found life difficult since leaving Brentford.Owusu had been suffering from panic attacks and it was unfortunate that it kept him out of the game for a few weeks.

Owusu started his career with his hometown club of Slough.Brian McDermott was manager and it was McDermott got the best out of him.But when Slough Town weren't in the conference anymore,he was taken to Brentford in 1998.It was there he made his name,enjoying a brillant spell and was top scorer under the Steve Coppell reign.

But when Brentford didn't reach Division 1,losing to Stoke City in the final Lloyd decided to leave.The star had been out of contract and if Brentford had beaten Stoke,he would have most likely signed a new deal.

But next stop for Owusu was Sheffield Wednesday.But he couldn't stop Wednesday getting relegated and this season has been a regular under Owls boss Chris Turner.

Owusu will now be hoping to impress his former boss Coppell and earn a permanent deal with the club.
