The Stadium

Name Britannia Stadium Capacity 28,383 (All seated) Away Fans Up to 4,800 Record Attendance 51,380 Vs Arsenal on 29th March 1937 Directions Leave the M6 at Junction 15 and take the A500 towards Stoke and then take the A34 towards Stafford. Turn left at the first roundabout (the Trentham Gardens roundabout, the car park is signposted from here), and then turn left at the third set of traffic lights to take you up to the stadium. Drink Outside With the ground being on the outskirts of Stoke, there are very few pubs to report. So the best bet is to head into the town centre. But if you don't want to do that, then there is a Holiday Inn and a Harvester Pub near the stadium. Food outside There are some burger vans outside the ground serving the usual food Drink inside Yes. Food inside There is your usual Pasties and Pies and a selection of chocolate.  Covered Away end Yes in the Big AM Stand

The Experience
Stoke is an interesting ground to go to. Unlike most new stadium's it isn't totally enclosed making it possible for a very cold and windy day when you visit. The atmosphere can be very good. Stoke fans are very passionate and still give a great rendition of Tom Jones classic "My My My Deliah". The food in the ground is ok, there isn't much leg room but the stewards are fairly decent. Shuttle buses are run to and from the stadium from the train station. Stoke must deserve a lot of praise for the way security is dealt in terms of away fans safety. There also seems to be a decent amount of police which is reassuring. Overall Rating 8/10
