Owusu keen on permanent Royals switch

Lloyd Owusu has openly expressed his desire to stay with the Royals on a permanent basis after a successful loan stay. The striker has had a difficult time at his club Sheffield Wednesday and would love the chance to stay with the Royals and fulfil his potential.

Owusu has scored two goals since joining the Royals on loan which on paper is not that great but he has caused defences a number of problems giving Reading another dimension. His major strengths are his strength to hold up the ball and ability to win headers in the air. Since Nicky Forster has been ruled out with injury Owusu has struck up a good relationship with Shaun Goater which has seen the Goat recapture is goal scoring form. He has also become a bit of a fans favourite with his excellent work rate and original celebrations. The Sheffield Wednesday striker struggled to show his best form with the Yorkshire outfit this season and manager Chris Turner would be likely to willing to offload the player to cut the wage bill at the club. The former Slough Town player may turn out to be a big player for Reading as they try to get in to the Premiership and with tonight’s game against fellow Promotion candidates, Preston North End the Royals will be keen to show that they are good enough and not to count them out just yet.
