Club announce Season Ticket prices

The club have confirmed the 2004/2005 Season Ticket Prices for exisiting holders.The big news is that the East Stand has been made a Smoke Free stand while the club have made some great offers as they look to attract at least 10,000 members for next season.

Reading Football Club have written to all current Reading FC Season Ticket Holders to confirm the 2004/2004 prices to purchase a season ticket for existing holders only. These prices will not alter regardless of what division the Royals are playing in next season. Below is the table of prices.

* Concession is 16-21 years old supporters along with Over 65's and disabled season ticket holders. Proof of age must be shown when purchasing. Disabled season tickets include 1 personal assistant if required.

Car Park permit's can be purchased for £95 and these are valid for all League and Cup games.

Reading Football Club Chairman John Madejski said to all Season Ticket Holders

"This year we have a record number of season ticket holders, (9540) and we really hope that you will continue to back the club next season. We have targeted 10,000 members for the 2004/2005 season and we have done a number of things to make this happen.

We are committed on your behalf to the long-term success of the club. Let's do everything we can to "Back the Boys".

Other changes made to the Madejski Stadium for next season are;

On the issue's of the Smoke Free Stand and the Food arena's, the club said

"Since the Madejski Stadium opened in 1998 we have had a smoke free environment in the seated bowl but have allowed smoking in the concourses. As attendances have increased over the year it has exacerbated the problem of a build up of smoke in the concourses, particularly at half time. We have researched mechanical ventilation as a solution but there is no guarantee that it will work and it will be several hundred thousand pounds for a stadium-wide scheme just to try. We want to offer a choice for supporters who want a totally smoke free environment in the stadium which includes both the bowl and the concourse and the East Stand has been chosen as a smoke free stand from next season. The reasons for this are that the East Stand is the busiest stand, the ceilings are lower than other stands, which intensifies the problem with smoke and the concourses can also become congested. We do realise however, that people have the right to smoke and will want to have a cigarette before the game or at half time. Therefore as an overall improvement we will be offering a food arena outside the East Stand which will also be the smoking area. This means that people who want to smoke can also get to a kiosk serving food and drink. We think this is the best way going forward to resolve this particular issue and we are confident that by offering a choice to smokers and non-smokers for the 2004-2005 season we will increase the support for the club overall."
