Omar Daley has had his loan deal terminated early from Reading after failing to make an impact at the Madejski Stadium. He returns to Portmore United after joining the Royals back in August. He made 7 appearences for Reading, scoring 0 goals.
Omar Daley has had his loan spell from Portmore United terminated early because of the lack of chances he has received since joining Reading on-loan.
The Jamaican International joined the Royals at the end of August and made his debut in the goalless draw with Rotherham United on Bank Holiday Monday. He made 7 appearances for Reading, all as a sub. He didn't score any goals for the 1st Team. He also played the full 90 minutes for Jamaica against Australia in the friendly back in August.
Speaking on the matter, Director of Football Nick Hammond said
"Omar came at the start of the season on a year's loan and unfortunately never really managed to establish himself with us. He was an excellent professional and never missed a day's training and had a super attitude but he probably found the English game very different to what he's used to and struggled to establish his most effective position. But he still's young and we wish him well for the future."
We wish Omar the best of luck for the future from everyone at 1871 Royals.
