Little to sign from Burnley!

Burnley Winger Glen Little looks certain to sign for the Royals on the 1st July after agreeing contract terms.Little has worked with Manager Steve Coppell before in their days at Crystal Palace.Coppell was Manager while Little was a trainee.

Glen Little will sign for Reading on the 1st July should he not fail a medical. This comes after the club and Little agreed contract terms. Now Little must wait until his Burnley contract expires at the end of June before putting pen to paper.

No details have yet been revealed as to how long his contract is for, but its expected to be for 3 years.

Speaking on the Little deal, Director of Football Nick Hammond told the Official Website;

"Everything is agreed with Glen and subject to a medical he will sign for us on a contract from the 1st July onwards. We don't envisage any problems and we should have more news soon."

This would be Little's 2nd spell with the Royals after joining Alan Pardew's squad for 3 months on-loan in the 2002-2003 season. This was a move that angered many Burnley fans. Little scored once in a 2-1 win over Grimsby Town. He appeared to play very well at the Madejski Stadium but went "missing" on our away games.

He was unable to start the 1st leg Playoff Vs Wolves because of illness but started the 2nd game in which we lost 1-0.

Little is one of the big earners at Burnley and has played over 300 times for the Clarets in a 6 year spell. He has worked with boss Steve Coppell before, as a trainee at Crystal Palace.
