| The stadium is simply amazing. It is totally enclosed and the leg room is excellent. There are 2 electronic score boards at either end. The atmosphere when full is top class. The teams come out to the tune "Dance of the Knights" and then Republic's "Ready to go". The fans are so passionate. Truly a great away day. | |
| Directions To The Ground | Exit the A1 at the Durham/Sunderland exit and take the A690 towards Sunderland. After about 8 miles, turn left onto the A19, signposted for the Tyne Tunnel. Stay in the left hand lane and take the Sunderland slip road onto the Bridge over the River Wear. Turn right onto A1231 following the signs of Washington/Sunderland. Go straight over 4 roundabouts into Sunderland. Then go through 2 sets of traffic lights and you will see the stadium car park on your right, about a mile after the traffic lights. |

| There is a Weatherspoons in the centre of town, which is worth a look.
As with most new stadiums they tend to be in the middle of nowhere, the only other place which travelling fans may want to visit is Idols, this is located on High Street West. |
