Round up of all the latest Royals news including John Salako's search for a new club and a quick return to English football for Jamaican International, Omar Daley.

NEWS ROUND-UP

Reading completed the double signing of Ibrahima Sonko and Paul Brooker from Brentford and Leicester respectively on Friday. Both have joined on free transfers and have signed two year contracts at the Madejski Stadium. It means so far Steve Coppell has made three new signings strengthening the positions he set out to do at the close of last season.

Former Royal John Salako has joined Brentford on a trial basis as the Bees look to strengthen their squad under the guidance of former Royals assistant Martin Allen.

Omar Daley looks like returning to England with a permanent move to rivals Preston North End, Daley was unable to make an impact at Reading under Steve Coppell and was allowed to leave Reading early before his loan spell was up. He is set to sign a two year contract at Deepdale this week.

Australian goalkeeper, Liam Reddy has teamed up with the Reading squad for a trial from Sydney United. The player was recommended to Director Of Football, Nicky Hammond by ex Royals defender, Andy Bernal. Reddy will have a couple of weeks to show manager, Steve Coppell that he is good enough to be given a permanent contract. Reading are currently short on keepers with the recent departure of the talented Jamie Ashdown to Portsmouth.
