The latest Royals news including Steven Sidwell pledging his future to Reading, Graeme Murty being the next to sign a new contract and the new kit.

Reading have launched their new kit for the up and coming season. There is a change of manufacturer with Puma replacing KIT@ and WestCoast continuing their sponsorship deal with the Royals.

The home kit is mainly royal blue with the panels down the side of the kit consisting of all blue. The shorts remain blue like last season and the socks are almost now all blue with just a white trim.

The away shirt is completely white with no styling at all on and Reading will be keeping the black kit that they wore last season as a third kit. To see pictures of the new home and away kit including the new goalkeeper strip, Click Here

Steven Sidwell has pledged his future to Reading by signing a three year contract quashing any rumours linking him with a move away from Berkshire. The former Arsenal man had been linked with moves to Aston Villa and West Ham United.

Graeme Murty is also expected to sign a long term deal in the next week keeping him at the club till the age of 32. The fans favourite has a year remaining on his current contract and if rumours are to believed has turned down the opportunity to reunite with ex manager Alan Pardew at West Ham United.

Youngster Jonathan Hayes has signed a two year professional contract after impressing manager Steve Coppell in the reserves. The 17 year old plays on the right wing and may have a part to play in the forthcoming season.
