Reading receive date of Ashdown tribunal

Reading will learn how much compensation they will receive for Jamie Ashdown on the 23rd September. Ashdown left Reading to join Premiership club Portsmouth where he has made three appearances on the bench so far this season.

| A date for the transfer tribunal of Jamie Ashdown has finally been set.
Ashdown who after deciding to leave Reading at the start of the summer break has yet to see a deal struck out between the Royals and Portsmouth The date is set for 23rd September where Reading will find out the exact amount they will receive for the player. Reading will be hping for a fair sum for the promising keeper. Ashdown was a product of the clubs youth academy and starred in his appearances towards the end of last season with many Reading fans calling for him to be the clubs first choice keeper above regular, Marcus Hahnemann. Before that Ashdown had been out on loan, to at the time League One Rushden & Diamonds where he received rave reviews. The club are entitled to compensation because the keeper is under 23 years of age.
