Reading Football Club have announced that a new club shop is to open in Reading
Town Centre as the club looks to getting more spectator's in the Madejski
Stadium. The new shop will be at 39 Market Place which is near the main post office, Natwest Bank and the Forbury Gardens. Not only will the shop sell club merchandise but also some match tickets as well as acting as a information point. The shop will go on a "trial" period which will last to the end of January and hopefully it will get a permanent home in the town centre. The Madejski Stadium is 2miles out of town centre and despite the fact that there's buses running every 8 minutes, fares are to rise to £2.30 return. Opening times for the shop will be from 09:00am-17:30pm Monday to Saturday and with the run up to Christmas approaching, expect it to stay open on most evenings and even open up on Sunday. No London Irish merchandise will be sold at the new shop. 1871Royals backs this excellent idea and urges supporters to give it there full support. |
