Reading moved back into the Play-Off places even though they are still to win in the league in 2005! It was another uninspiring game at Loftus Road with few chances.

| Yes you have guessed it!..Reading are still to win in the league this year after another dismal afternoon of football similar to last weekends woeful match against Leicester City. Not even the large and vocal away following could spur on The Royals. Although Reading never looked in too much danger of conceding they never looked a threat and only managed to have one shot on target all game.
Reading's best chance came inside the first five minutes when Paul Brooker's effort was saved with the legs of Rangers keep Simon Royce. The Royals dominated the first fifteen minutes but could not turn their dominance into goals. The rest of the first half was a very tight affair with neither team really looking that dangerous. After half an hour Les Ferdinand was substituted with yet another injury. A signing by Coppell that is clearly not paying off with the 38 year old sure to be the highest earner at the club but has failed to play ninety minutes yet for Reading. Dean Morgan came on to take Ferdinand's place. Half Time: QPR 0:0 Reading The second half was just as uninspiring as the first with a disallowed Dave Kitson strike the best it got. Steve Coppell felt there was no need to change things around as the Reading manager made no second half substitutions. Reading fans did there best to get behind the team but it is clear that the team has forgotten how to score and Steve Coppell is struggling to turn it around. Jamie Cureton was given a good reception by the Reading supporters when he came on late on in the second half but the game had 0:0 written all over it and that's how it finished.
