Steve Coppell's Reading side will face 6 pre season games this summere as they make the final steps before the start of the bew season.Visits include a 3 game tour of Sweden and games against Didcot Town,Staines Town and Farnborough Town.Spurs will also visit Reading

| Steve Coppell's Reading squad will undergo a 6 game
pre season as they look to bounce back from the disappointment of not reaching
the Premiership after a poor finish to the Championship season. The players will report back at the Hogwood Park training ground on Thursday, 30th June where they'll undergo a series of fitness tests under the guidance of Sports Scientist Niall Clark. Then the players will have they're first bit of pre season action when they take on Staines Town (Kick Off 19:45pm) on Thursday, 13th July. The following day, they'll then face Didcot Town (Kick Off 19:45pm) a day later where this match is expected to consist of Reserve team and Academy players. On Saturday, 16th July the Royals will make the short journey down south to face Farnborough Town (Kick Off 15:00pm) before jetting off to Sweden for the 3rd year running to face 3 Swedish sides. Steve Coppell and his 1st team squad will leave on Wednesday, 20th July and will face 3 matches against Eneryda IF a day later. Then they'll face Holmalunds on the Saturday before facing Ljungfkile on Tuesday, 26th July. The advantage of going to Sweden will be that they're league season is already underway and this should provide the players 3 good game against whose sides will be physically fitter. The one and only home pre season friendly takes place on Saturday, 30th July when Martin Jol's Spurs side make the journey down the M4. The players will then finish the pre season schedule on Tuesday, 2nd August when they go down the south coast to face Dorchester Town (Kick Off 19:45pm). The Coca Cola Championship season takes place on Saturday, 6th August. |
