1871Royals preview Crystal Palace's visit to the Madejski Stadium to take on Reading. The Royals will be looking to continue their promising start to the season.

TEAM NEWS

Steve Coppell will be relieved to have no fresh injury concerns ahead of tonight's game following The Royals draw at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.

Reading will have to continue without the services of Dave Kitson, Steven Sidwell and Nicky Shorey. Coppell is expected to keep faith with the same team from Saturday. It means Chris Makin who had a solid game against the Sky Blues continues at left back, Brnyjar Gunnarsson deputises in central midfield alongside James Harper and Kevin Doyle leads the attack alongside Leroy Lita.

Crystal Palace could stick with the same formation from Saturdays 2:0 win over Hull City at Selhurst Park, an attacking 4-3-3 formation with John Macken, Clinton Morrison and Andy Johnson upfront.

However both Jobi McAnuff and Mikele Leigertwood are available again to manager Iain Dowie and may come straight back into the side.

FORM GUIDE
Reading continued their decent start to the new season with a good performance and point away from home at Coventry City. Although The Royals will feel aggrieved to let in a late equaliser from corner that should have been a goal kick. The Royals are currently second in the league behind Sheffield United who are four points ahead and have only lost once so far this season on the opening day of the season to Plymouth Argyle.

Palace endured a difficult start to life back in the Championship after relegation from the Premiership, failing to win any of their opening three league games. Although Palace have won their last three league games on the bounce. They currently lie ninth in the league and could move into the Play-Off places with a win tonight over The Royals.
