Southampton Away Sold Out

Reading have today sold out their entire allocation of tickets for their away match at Southampton's St Mary's Stadium on the 28th September 2005.

Reading supporters had snapped up the first batch of tickets on sale and a second batch of 800 tickets that were on general sale from today were all snapped up by 3pm this afternoon. It means the Reading team will have the backing of over 3,000 Royals supporters at the St Mary's Stadium.

Considering the ridiculous price of tickets set by Southampton Football Club it shows how much Reading supporters believe in Steve Coppell's side this season. The price of a family of two adults and two children for the game would have cost around £90.

No more tickets for this fixture will be made available for away supporters and the club have asked fans without a ticket not to travel to the game in hope of buying one.

Southampton Ticket Office have also upgraded this fixture to a Category A Gold fixture and will only sell tickets in home areas to customers already registered on their database.

The Royals will find out who they will come up against in the Third Round of the Carling Cup when the draw is made on Saturday. Reading could face any of the Premiership sides left in the draw after seeing off Luton Town 1:0 at the Madejski Stadium thanks to a lucky goal from John Oster.
