Titans take the Challenge

Players from Earth Titans intend to illustrate their sporting versatility next Week, by showing off their skills at cricket! The Rugby Club midweek cricket side have issued their annual challenge and the Titans are relishing the confrontation.

The game will take place on Wednesday 9th August at Clifton Lane, with a 6.00pm start. Titans cricket Captain Joe Bedford – a more than useful Club Cricketer - has already started the war of words by proclaiming, “We are not turning up to loose!” Bedford has further antagonised the midweek side by recalling their star bowler Adam Hopcroft into his side. Perhaps the lure of being made Vice Captain for the Titans was too much for Hopcroft to turn down. The midweek side will indeed miss the fiery bowler from their ranks. Hopcroft is keeping a low profile and was unavailable for comment, but he’s sure to face some hostile bowling next week! A confident Bedford announced his squad today with a mixture of new and established players making up the side. Bedford warned, “I’ve assembled a quality side and brought in a terrific “ringer” in Michael McComish!”
