Despite
the win Bedford Blues drop a place in the table to third after failing
to pick up the four try bonus point for just the second time this
season.
The
Tykes took the lead when hooker Phil Nilsen went over for a try on 20
minutes and Leigh Hinton converted for 7-0. Hinton made it 10-0 six
minutes later before the Blues got off the mark.
They got
a try through right wing Mike Staten on 29 minutes but just a minute
later left wing Tom Rock touched down and
Leeds led 15-5.
Late in
the half the Blues got a second try as centre Matt Allen went in and
Ross Broadfoot converted and then added a penalty goal to level the
scores at the break at 15 all.

minutes into the second half Broadfoot put the home side ahead for this
first time in the match with a penalty goal. Hinton levelled late on
with a penalty for Leeds and they went ahead in injury time when fly
half Ian Humphreys on loan for Leicester dropped a goal. The match ended
dramatically with the Blues snatching the win deep into injury time when
wing James Pritchard went in and Ben Patston converted.

Doncaster are in fourth place after this home win over Coventry at
Castle Park picking up all five points on offer.
The home
side were in front on 2 minutes when centre Spencer Davey went over for
a try and Mark Woodrow converted to make it 7-0.
Cov were
level on 22 minutes when right wing Sam Montague went over the home line
and Ben Russell added the extras.
Doncaster were back in front two minutes later when winger Donovan Van
Vuuren touched down for 12-7. Russell pulled three points back with a
penalty but Woodrow kicked the final points of the half as the home side
went in 15-10 ahead.
Five
minutes into the second half and the home side went further ahead with a
try from fly half Mark Woodrow who also put over the conversion to make
it 22-10. Russell pulled another three points back for Coventry before
the home side sealed the win with a 10th try of the season
for flanker Jason Forster and Woodrow converted.

Chiefs are up to seventh place after this away win at London Welsh.

The
visitors took the lead in the second minute when Tony Yapp put over a 2nd
minute penalty goal.
Seven
minutes later and it was 3-3 with Sam Ulph replying for the home side.
Yapp gave the Chiefs the lead again in the 11th minute and
when wing Jason Luff went in for the games opening try in the 15th
minute the visitors were 11-3 ahead.
Just
before the end of the first quarter centre Duncan Hayward went over the
Chiefs line for his third try in as many games and Ulph converted to
make it 11-10.
The
Chiefs took control after that with two tries before the break with
second row Ollie Hodge and Yapp crossing the home line and Yapp
converting them both to make it 25-10 at half time.
Two
minutes into the second half and the Chiefs were 20 points ahead with
flanker Alan Miller touching down and the bonus point was secured.
Before
the hour mark though the home side were right back in it after a double
from replacement forward Andrew Daish bagged a brace in three minutes
and Ulph converted them both.
That
though was the end of the scoring with the final quarter was scoreless.
Moseley

back win for Newbury who are up to 12th in the league table.
Newbury
took the lead with Tim Walsh putting over a 10th minute
penalty goal but two minutes later and the home side were in front with
winger Carl Colvin touching down and a 5-3 scoreline. Ollie Thomas made
it 8-3 in the 19th minute with a drop goal but Walsh was on
hand to put over a second penalty goal on 24 minutes to make it 8-6.
Thomas
then put over a couple of penalty goals to give the home side a 14-6
lead at the break. He increased that lead three minutes into the second
half with his third penalty goal.
Walsh
pulled three points back with a 44th minute penalty goal and
then went over for a try four minutes later to make it 17-14.
Winger
Martin Nutt put the visitors ahead with a try and Walsh rounded of the
win with a fourth penalty goal late on.
Moseley
picked up their fourth losing bonus point from their six defeats.
Otley 30

Otley
pick up their fourth win of the season with this victory over Waterloo
who remain second bottom.
The
damage was done in the first half with the home side building up a 27-5
lead with Simon Binns contributing 17 of them with a try, three
conversions and two penalties. The other home tries came from wing
Stephen Parsons and scrum half Neil Chivers as they built up a 27-0 lead
in the opening 30 minutes.
Waterloo
did manage a try before half time with scrum half John Broxson touching
down.
In the
second half Otley had three men sin binned and at one time were down to
13 men for eight minutes with two players in the bin.
Waterloo
got two scores in the opening 21 minutes of the half with tries from
hooker Peter Ince and full back Peter Murchie before Otley had the final
word with Binns putting over a 70th minute penalty goal to
round off the win.

Plymouth
Albion are up to second place after this home win over Pertemps Bees at
Brickfields.
They did
the dame in the first half building up a 31-5 lead. Full back Wihan
Neethling went in for two tries in two minutes to open the scoring on
nine and 11 minutes and added the conversions to make it 14-0. He than
exchanged penalty goals with the Bees Jon Higgins before second row Ben
Gulliver went in for the third Albion try and again Neethling was on
target with the conversion for 24-3.
They got
a fourth try on 40 minutes through centre Regardt Van Eyk and Neethling
was again on target and the four try bonus point was in the bag.
At half
time the Bees changed their half backs and by the end of the third
quarter had come back into it at 31-22. They got tries through wing
Brodie Henderson flanker Leo Halavatau and second row Mark Gabey and Rod
Petty put over a couple of conversion.
That
though was the end of the scoring spree and we had to wait till the 76th
minute for the next score and it came from
Albion
centre Keni Fisilau and Neethling converted to make it a perfect six out
of six for the afternoon.
The Bees
did manage a fourth try to pick up a bonus point when replacement hooker
Matt Miles touched down.
Earth

The
Titans pick up all five points in the home win over
Nottingham
at Clifton Lane.
They led
19-0 at half time with a double from wing Brian Tuohy and full back Mike
Whitehead crossing the visitors try line and Gareth Steenson converting
two of them.

minutes into the second half and the Titans picked up the four try bonus
point with replacement second row Erik Lund touching down and Steenson
converting to make it 26-0.
Nottingham finally got on the scoreboard when Alex Loney, playing at
flanker instead of his usual position as hooker, went over and Tom
Barlow converted.
The
Titans sealed the win on 80 minutes when centre Tom Allen went over for
the fifth home try and the Titans remain top of the table.
Nottingham have now lost six of their seven matches this season and are
13th in the table.

The
Cornish Pirates were comprehensive winners over Sedgley Park at Park
Lane on Saturday running in nine unanswered tries.
They
were on the scoreboard in the first minute with wing Lewis Vinnicombe
going over for a score and Alberto Di Bernardo converted. Phil Jones
then kicked what turned out to be the home sides only points of the
afternoon with a penalty goal three minutes later.
After
that it was one way traffic with the Pirates getting three more first
half tries to open up a 26-3 lead and secure the four try bonus point.
Second
row Heino Senekal bagged a brace with a try either side of half time. Di
Bernardo by his high standards had an off day with the boot converting
five of the nine tries to move onto 110 points for the season. The
Pirates are up to fifth place in the table after this win whilst Park
remain three points adrift of Waterloo and seven points from safety.
