Andre Bester has named a provisional squad of 23 for this week’s journey across the Pennines to face Sedgley Park. Although reluctant to give details of the starting 15, Bester did warn, “Expect some changes.” The 23 named however, does include the return of Errie Claassens.

Bester added, “We are still hurting after last season’s first half performance at Sedgley Park, we aim to put that right on Saturday. I have a lot of respect for Tim Fourie, (Sedgley’s head coach) he’s done well on very limited resources.” Bester also revealed the Titans are developing links with National 2 side Harrogate. This week Tim Maslanyk and Gareth McComb will turn out for the West Yorkshire outfit in their home game with Stourbridge. With seven wins out of eight so far for the Titans and with Sedgley Park still seeking their first victory, it’s not difficult to see who the form side is. While giving full respect to Sedgley Park, this game on Saturday is one where Roth really should (and must) collect the full five points – no slip up’s. And providing the Rotherham players are mentally right for the task, their four point cushion at the top of the league will remain undiminished this weekend. Take Sedgley too lightly and anything can happen. On the only two previous occasions that Roth has visited Park Lane, they have returned home winless! However I don’t expect either Andre Bester or the players not to be “up” for the job ahead and Roth should run out comfortable winners at the end. Prediction: Roth by 19
