The following announcement has been made by Rotherham Titans Rugby Club regarding the William Webb-Ellis trophy that will be paraded at Millmoor on the 4th of January. The full press release says…..
“The continuing success of the Rotherham Titans community scheme has been
re-affirmed over the past few days as 50 junior teams that the club have
forged links with accepted invitations to visit Millmoor and have their
photograph taken with the most famous prize in world rugby.
The William Webb-Ellis trophy will be paraded around the Millmoor pitch
after the Rotherham Titans Vs Bath rugby game on January 4th (KO 3pm) before
the junior teams get their photo-opportunity and community manager Brian
Chapple is delighted that so many youngsters are to attend the occasion:
"This is a tremendous opportunity for the youngsters, there's been a lot of
interest and we're expecting fifty teams to have their photo taken. We're
taking the trophy into Clifton Comprehensive School on Monday where I’ll be
joined with some of our players who were involved in the World Cup.”
