Three local school girls have shown enterprise in raising funds for Rotherham Titans Rugby Club. Hayley Jenkinson (10), Alex Jenkinson (12) and Danika Kerrison (12) decided they wanted to do what they could to help out their local club. So they decided to….

…make some buns and go around their local housing estate in Bramley to sell them. So after making several batches of chocolate buns off they went knocking on their neighbours doors.

They returned home excited and pleased having raised £17 for the Club. Asked why they did what they did, the girls replied, “We know Rotherham are in trouble and we wanted to help.”

The girls are pictured above presenting the cheque to Rotherham’s Chief Executive Officer Brian Chapple at Clifton Lane earlier this week. Mr Chapple said he was, “delighted with their efforts” and added that “every little bit helps!”

The girls added that their favourite players are Mike Schmid and Jacob Rauluni.
