Rotherham Titans have announced Peter Cook as their short term replacement at Prop for Colin Noon. Noon has been recalled back to Leicester Tigers as cover for them during the Autumn International period.

Cook who will be 22 years of age on Christmas Day was a member of Leicester's successful 2002/3 U21 squad. Peter has also represented England at U21 level and was included in the 2003 England U21 World Cup squad having previously been capped at U18 Schools level.

Peter has played twice this season for Leicester and at 5’ 10” and weighing in at 16 stone will be a welcome addition to Rotherham’s squad. Peter is available for selection for Saturdays game at home to Bristol Shoguns.

On a different note, Jim Kilfoyle today commented that it is going to be “nip and tuck” as to whether Oriol Ripol is going to be available for Saturday’s encounter with Bristol. The paperwork problem seems to rest with the Italians, who have their own timescales when dealing with situations like this.

On a brighter note, South African 2nd/back rower Jannie Borman has had his paperwork ticked and will be available for selection at the weekend.
