Not all “White” for Roth!

At a RFU disciplinary meeting on Tuesday night, the Leicester prop was hit with an eight week ban, ruling him out of action whilst the 12 of December. All of this because of some fisty cuffs with Newcastle lock Andy Perry. Perry received a 4 week ban for his part in the kafuffle.

The possible implication for the Titans is that Leicester could very well call on loan prop John Rawson back into their ranks, particularly as the autumn internationals are approaching!

This would be a blow for the Yorkshire men as Rawson has been in fine form this season. His prowess at the scrum has been just one of the successes so far for Roth.

With Attie Pienaar still recovering from injury that leaves ex Henley prop Adam Hopcroft as the only direct cover at the moment. Head coach Andre Bester won’t loose too much sleep though, as he rates Hopcroft very highly.

On a personal note, if Adam can perform at tighthead anyway near the levels of his bowling in cricket, Rotherham will have very little to concern themselves with. However if it’s anything like his batting, they may be a problem.
