CRAIG WEST - COACH

Here we have some comments given directly after the Halifax Game on Saturday. Giving his thoughts on the 48-10 victory is the A-team Coach Craig West.

THEY say that its the sign of a good team that can have a poor game and still get a result. Well, this side got the result - they put 48 points on Halifax scoring eight well crafted tries - yet most of the lads were disappointed with their performance and no individual stood out.

Coach Craig West was not happy with the performance either:

"Coming away from that game today we take satisfaction from the result but not from the manner of the result."

"It was a poor performance despite racking up 48 points and the lads have really got to step up to the mark for Thursday's game (against Donacaster) and I'm sure they will."

"There are things to work on in training and we'll do that on Tuesday night."

The mood in the dressing room was strangely subdued after the game.

"It felt as if we'd lost the game" said one of the players, "uncontested scrums made a big difference to the game."

"We’ll pick things up for Thursday’s game against Doncaster. For us its the biggest league game this season and we've been looking forward to it. The rivalry between us and Donny massive, it’s one we all want to play well in."

Thursday evening's game is at Doncaster's Castle Park ground, kick-off is 7.30 pm.
