"It was an enjoyable performance and the lads enjoyed themselves out there. They played relatively well, not as good as I’ve seen them play but we were the deserved winners on the night. And anyone watching, I’m sure they’ll agree with that.

The scrimmage went really well and all three front row lads played well all over the field. Gaz Brear is a good running footballer, but I’ll tell you who impressed me tonight, Tom Outrim! He’s a balanced, intelligent footballer and he backs that up with his decision making and execution of his kicks and execution what’s asked of him.

We are pleased to beat our local rivals and to be top of the league. When we set out at the beginning of this league, we said we wanted to do as well as we can. We want to be happy every week with our performance and tonight was a relatively a good performance.

I also thought Ledowyk Strauss was outstanding, his distribution and tackling were very good and his attitude was first rate."
