Andre Bester has named a strong side to face Moseley in the 6^th round of the Powergen National Trophy.

Minor niggles in the squad prevent Greg Mitchell, Jon Golding and John Rawson from taking part. Scrum half Joe Bedford may return to Saracens for their Premiership encounter with Gloucester on Saturday. This should be confirmed later today.

WP Strauss and Neil Cochrane are rested but are on the bench. Anthony Carter comes in at outside centre and Ledowyk Strauss is in at 10. The front row rotation policy continues and in a back row re-shuffle, Fourie moves to open side and Bornman goes to number 8.

Prop row forwards Sam Walsh and Jamie Kilbane are given the opportunity to impress with their first start on the bench.

Rising star Tom Outram also makes his debut on the bench after impressing in the A-team. Andre Bester said, “I have been very impressed with Tom and anyone that does well in the ‘A’ team will get a chance in the first team.”

Rotherham go into their Trophy encounter against National 2 side Moseley, having previously met on twelve league occasions – Roth lead 10-2.

It was against Moseley 3 years ago that Roth set their record for most points scored in a league match. On that day at Millmoor they trounced Moseley 102-3 with Woody grabbing a hat trick and Pez knocking over 10 conversions.

Rotherham are in good form having lost just two out of their last eight matches, they being against the then top two sides in National Division 1.

Rotherham are taking this competition seriously and see a finale at Twickenham as a perfect way to end their season.

Moseley are currently going very well in National Division 2, they are in third spot just two points behind Mike Schmid’s high-flying Esher. In fact the only defeat Moseley have suffered this season is the 4 point reversal at Esher.

Moseley are obviously a danger on their own soil and will treat this game as a cup final. Rotherham need to be mentally sharp if they are not going to be a cup victim! No doubt Commander-in-chief Andre Bester will have the squad well prepared and as a result Rotherham should progress into the ¼ finals.
