Clarke leaves Sincil Bank

Lincoln City fans will be decidely ambivalent at the news that Jamie Clarke has left Lincoln City. The striker only scored one League goal during his time at Sincil Bank and had requested to be placed on the transfer list earlier on the week.

Clarke was the first signing that City made during the summer, joining after being released by Rotherham. He had never been a proven goalscorer and subsequently failed to impress the majority of the fans.

He eventually scored away at Telford in the FA Cup before doubling his season's tally a week later against Cheltenham. Two more followed against Northwich, but that was as good as it got for Clarke before being dropped.

I though he was awful.

Said it after the first time I saw him, Took goals well at Telford and Northwich which to meal says his level is 2 below that of the FL.
