Davide Somma made it three goals in four games with yet another good finish. Although it was only six yards out, Somma's half volley was good enough to earn City a draw against a Dagenham side who are again pushing for the Playoffs. Jon Nurse had given the visitors the lead with a goal from their first shot on target.
The Imps started well with Saunders hitting it just over the bar in the first minute before Lennon hit the post after jinking beyond five defenders to create a chance for himself. Saunders forced Roberts into a fine save before the veteran goalkeeper claimed another ball from Lennon's feet. It was a great opening from the Imps that only missed a goal.
Lennon had his third chance that was easily claimed by Roberts before Broughton hit a volley over the bar. A rare Dagenham attack at this point saw Folly hit the ball acrobatically over the net. Burch would then deny Ogogo from six yards before Lennon completed a quartet of bad luck when he failed to control the ball in the box long enough before Roberts claimed the ball.
However, the visitors took what was a rather undeserved lead after Hughton failed to react with any urgency to a loose ball and Nurse was able to round him and plop the ball over Burch and it was 1-0 to Dagenham. Somma tried his luck from distance and only hitting it straight at Roberts denied him an equaliser. That was the final moment of the first half.
Folly volleyed wide in the first few minutes of the second half before Arber headed over from six yards. It was a very quiet second half but Hone was forced to head over his own bar to deny Broughton scoring an own goal.
City's first effort of the second half came with 20 minutes to go as Kerr linked well with Saunders, the latter crossing in and Somma smashing in Lennon's header down. Burch denied a quick fire Dagenham response with a decent save.
Green came on for Saunders but there were no other chances in the game and the teams drew 1-1.
