Macclesfield no longer "Category A"

The final game against Macclesfield at home has been made "Category B" and therefore cheaper than it's original "Category A" status. The final game of the season is always down as A, but for the first time since the categories came into effect, it will be category B.
The categorisation of games has often been controversial amongst fans and some blame it for the crowds being considerably down in the lower derbies. Derbies are usually down as Category A but none of the local derbies have attracted overly large crowds this season with less than 5,000 attending the game against Grimsby in November.
However, with the game against Macclesfield seemingly nothing more than a game that's more for pride than anything else, the board have decided to turn it into a lower category in the hopes of attracting a slightly larger crowd.

Now that is a GREAT idea......and so true, it really has been a poor one hasn't it!!! Even by Lincoln's standard!!

I suppose we should be great, the last time we were away from home on the final day was the 2004/5 season when we lost 3-0 at Yeovil. Infact we're rarely away from home on the final day as the one before that was the 2001/2 when we drew 1-1 at Hull.
We're also due to start a season away from home every season over the last ten years barring 2002/3, 2004/5 and last season.
