The Players of 2009/10 : Anthony Pulis

There are those players who would be no-where near professional football if their dad wasn't the manager at a football club. Just like 2001/2 had Adam Buckley, 2009/10 had Anthony Pulis, son of Stoke manager Tony. The Southampton youngster was involved in 8 matches for the Imps in the Autumn.

Before I start, I'm going to let you all reflect on those many impactful moments that Pulis had in a Lincoln City shirt.

Now that the tumbleweed has rolled by, we'll get into it. Pulis was the only player to rival Khano Smith for the worst player in the squad this year. He was truly awful in the sense that he never actually did ANYTHING. The game would just pass him by and on the rare occasions he did get involved, it wasn't worth the wait.

How this guy made it to be a professional footballer can be translated into two words....his dad. Dad's have a habit of getting their son(s) into football. Sometimes it works and a good player is produced, such as Cian Hughton, but then there's the likes of Pulis and Adam Buckley, just two that immediately come to mind.

However, Pulis did give us a reason to like Rotherham.....they injured him and caused him not to play another minute in a City shirt.
