The Players of 2009/10 : Paul Green

Paul Green spent most of the season injured but did enough to convince Sutton to give him a new contract....then again, he did play for Aston Villa. His return signalled the turn around of form just after Christmas and he enjoyed a decent handful of games this season.

Paul Green has always been the marminte of the defence, one who you'd hate to be without but one who could even cost you goals due to not marking the attacker properly.

This season he did improve though after getting injured during the summer and his 16 games were greeted by generally better performances. 7 of the 16 games he was involved in ended in defeat, not overly bad I suppose.

To be fair, there's nothing we can really say about Green that you wouldn't have heard before. Good defender on occasions but where he can maintain his first team place when he returns from yet another injury is another matter.
