The Players of 2009/10 : Danny Hone

Danny Hone started the season as one of those challenging for the first team place along with Moses Swaibu and Janos Kovacs, but it ended with him rarely getting a look at and being told he can leave on loan, it's certainly been a year for the youngster where his progression has gone backwards.

I was a big fan of Hone and thought he had an excellent future ahead of him. Skip forward 12 months and it appears as though he doesn't even have a future at Sincil Bank.

Hone was one of those defenders who were comfortable under Jackson but barely got a look in under Sutton, and it said it all that there was one game where one of the defenders got injured and Shane Clarke was brought on instead.

It looks unlikely that Hone will be a City player much longer, which is a shame as he's been the only product to come out of the youth team in the last few years to actually impress.
