John-Lewis finally leaves Sicnil Bank

Lenell John-Lewis has FINALLY left Sincil Bank. The striker who's performances could best be described as "a bit crap" and the fact he only scored once in a year and a half just sums up how ineffective he is as a strikers.

John-Lewis was initially a breath of a fresh air when he broke into the side. A young striker who was fast, full of energy and as a good team player........none of which applied by the time he left.

He was an awful player and the fast that sudden has decided to terminate his contract could easily go down as the best bit of business this club has done in a long time.

He could trap the ball further than I can kick it!(Sm126)
Wonder if the flash car will have to go?
Never built on a promising start, thought he had 'made it'.
What a waste!

Here we go again!
Will we ever get the right man?

Absolutely the right decision, but I can't help feeling slightly disappointed because as Nathan says, he was a breath of fresh air when he first broke into the first team when Jackson arrived. He was skillful, pacy and a goal threat. However, once his Merc with his personalised number plate arrived, he had lost it and never looked the same player after getting injured at the end of 07/08. Definitely a talent wasted and he will now need to re-focus and sort himself out if he is to make a career out of football. Full credit to Sutton for getting a waste of a wage out of the club.

I'm a bit worried about his departure, what with the building works on the South entrance coming to fruition. Who is going to trap the cemment bags as they come off the lorry?

Oh I know, a professional footballer.

Sorry. I hope he proves to all of us that he has the skill to move on and up. Then I can tell my kids I saw his first start against Port Vale and his first goal against Stockport.

Couldn't trap a ball with a fishing net. Enough said.
