We're gonna win the World Cup, lol, j/k, We're England

You spend four years of the media trying to convince you that next time will be your time, and yet every single time the English team playing rubbish takes the fans by surprise, you'd think we're be used to it by now really. A very poor performance against Algeria sees English hopes of a second World Cup hanging by a thread.

I don't care if you agree or not but this England team is a disgrace. No effort from players who quite obviously only give a shite about their wallet. The commentators highlighted it perfectly when they said that the players do well for their clubs but do sod all for England. Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard all do brilliantly for their clubs, but put them in an England shirt and their supposed World Class talents disappear and they play like Sunday League footballers. If Rooney is the best we have in an England shirt then it doesn't say a lot about the level of our players.

You could probably count genuine England chances against Algeria on one hand and you'd still have four fingers and a thumb firmly down. It just went to show that England just aren't that good. Whether it's Gerrard playing virtually every pass to an Algerian, Heskey putting virtually every attack out of play and Wayne Rooney doing, well, nothing, you need to realise that England just aren't that good.

It does make you wonder what the surviving members of the 1966 team actually think about this current crop of players, rather amusingly dubbed "The Golden Generation". The 1966 team had World Class players, the current squad has some alright players, but no-one who you would describe as the best player in their position in the world.

You can be as patriotic as you want, you can be as deluded as you want, you can even wear the biggest comedy glasses which have England emblems, but there is probably not a single person in the entire country right that thinks that was a good performance.

Anyone who seriously still thinks we've got a genuine chance of winning the World Cup, prepare to be disappointed. However, if you're firmly in the camp of those who see things realistically, you know England simply aren't good enough to win this trophy.

It really is time for a shake up in terms of the playing personnel of England. Drop either Gerrard or Lampard, neither play well on a regular basis for their country, Heskey certainly needs to go, infact, very few players of these players actually deserve to play for their country.

There's no point blaming Capello either, England players haven't performend for their manager since Venables at Euro 96.
