Janos Kovacs returns to Football League with Hereford

Janos Kovacs has rejoined the Football League after becoming Simon Davey's first signing as Hereford manager. The defender spent the second half of last season at Luton after being having his contract at Sincil Bank terminated by mutual consent.
Kovacs as one of Peter Jackson's "Magnificant Seven" after joining from Chesterfield in 2008. He went onto become a first team regular under Jackson, but Chris Sutton wasn't impressed after he took over last September and Janos quickly found himself out of the first team and failed to play him after the FA Cup win at Northwich before leaving in January, joining up with Luton.
The last straw for Sutton was believed to be the away game at Rotherham in November. The defender went up for a corner and ended up booting it back downfield towards his own goal and letting Le Fondre break through on goal one on one. It was one of several errors he made during his City career that resulted in a goal being scored by the opposition.
He has now signed a two year contract with Hereford, linking up with Simon Davey, the man who was incharge of a Barnsley side who Kovacs gifted victory to in the Carling Cup last season.
