Imps won't be getting Mansfield's Perry

Recent speculation linking Mansfield Town forward Kyle Perry has been dismissed this afternoon. The striker has agreed a move to Tamworth, it is yet in another long line of strikers who have rejected the chance to join the Imps during the summer.

Perry has recently been linked with a move to the Imps in several newspapers and on various internet forums, however, the possibility of him coming to Sincil Bank has been blown out of the water as he has agreed to sign for Tamworth.

Many fans will be relieved due to Perry's generally poor goalscoring record, especially when he was last in the League with Port Vale.

The current Mansfield striker is officially the second striker in the space of a few days to definitely not be joining the Imps, the other being Tadgh Purcell.
