City set to miss out on Torres

Lincoln City's lack of luck in this transfer window has again come around after it was announced in a Peterborough newspaper that Sergio Torres is set to join Crawley Town. It had been confirmed earlier in the summer that Imps had made an approach to sign the Argentinian, but the move collapsed and he is now set to join the ambitious Sussex side.
Torres had two spells on loan at Sincil Bank last season and was the first goalscorer under the Chris Sutton era. He was injured after a very brutal Cheltenham side battered and bruised virtually all of the Lincoln side, it was hoped he would continue his loan spell but the injury was worse than initially feared and he returned to Peterborough.
City had made an offer earlier this summer to bring him to Sincil Bank permanently, but Barry Fry's ridiculous valuations priced City out. However, the price doesn't seem to have put off an ambitious Crawley side. The two clubs agreed a fee and contract conversations occured at the weekend.

I thought his missus worked in Lincoln and loved the City, and where the bloody hell does Crawley Town get that sort of money - Steve Evans up to his usual tricks???
It would be an utter waste of a talent!
